Every year we stay with my Aunt in Cornwall for a week of family time.

We are lucky to have the opportunity to visit as often as we do, and we always try and make the most of the beautiful coast and countryside. When the sun is shining Cornwall has so much to offer, unfortunately not so much to offer in the rain. But this year we were lucky, although cold, we found shelter from the wind and spent 3 days out of 5 on the beach.

If you get the chance to visit Cornwall, here are the places close to Calstock, where my aunt lives, that we all love;

Lydford Gorge, a stunning walk along the gorge. Although we managed it, I personally would not recommend this with smaller children or those less stable on their feet.

Favourite Beaches;  Bantham Bay (devon), Harlyn Bay, Watergate Bay and Crackington Bay.

Padstow: lots of places with decent food, excellent for people watching. We always treat ourselves to Rick Stein fish and chips on the harbour.

Paignton Zoo. A lovely, picturesque walk, as well as fun for the kids.
